I’ve known Kristin for a few years now. She has an outgoing personality, super creative in her photography, and very dependable. She never meets a stranger, so every session is super exciting.Our first of many sessions, the engagement pictures, was also Kristin’s first engagement session. We were all nervous together, but we were all friends so that made it so much easier. She made the session really laid back and easy for my anti-photo husband to smile. She was able to capture the “real” moments instead of the posed, traditional photos. Many sessions later, my husband and I found out we would be welcoming a baby boy into our family. Along with telling our family, I immediately contacted Kristin to start planning the Maternity session. We planned for months. Finally, the day comes and the session was amazing. Although I was big, fat and pregnant she made me feel so great that day for pictures. I had not let anyone take my picture except her the whole time I was pregnant. I did not feel pretty, but Kristin made the atmosphere so great. She was patient with me (walking was a chore!), included my very excited daddy to be, and made us laugh the entire time. I thought the Maternity session was the best, until Kristin was with me on June 29th, 2011…ALL DAY! Kristin was with my husband and I the day our son, Riley Mitchell Barnes, was born. Kristin captured every detail and moment from the time the contractions started to my husband cutting the umbilical cord to Riley getting his first bath in the hospital. I would have completely missed some of those moments if it wasn’t for Kristin capturing them. She took the pressure off me wondering if anyone got any good pictures, my husband was able to be with me and our son instead of trying to take the pictures himself, and we were able to get our first family photo just minutes after the delivery. The photos and blog that Kristin posted on her web site brought tears to my eyes; I did not realize the emotion she captured until I saw the photos. AMAZING!! I will forever be able to see one of the most joyous days, in pictures thanks to Kristin. Even many weeks after Riley’s birth, I still look at the pictures, read her blog and cry. Riley was two weeks old and Kristin met up with us to do his Newborn session. I did not know how he was going to act and hoped that we would be able to get some great pictures. When he didn’t like to lay or sit a certain way, she didn’t get frustrated…she just tried something different. She worked with him so well. She even did well under pressure with the new daddy standing over her shoulder watching every move. The Newborn session was another amazing session. We have a grow-up plan with her and I know that she will do so wonderful capturing his first year. But we won’t stop there… Kristin, you are an amazing photographer and friend. You have captured the most cherished days of my family’s lives with many more to come. I will forever use KL Photography!

We have been having Kristin take our pics since I was prego with Ash & sometimes that seems like forever ago & other days it seems like yesterday… Over the last year & 1/2 we have had many sessions that resulted in fabulous pictures & awesome memories of each one. Kristin not only goes above & beyond with working with my families bizarre schedules & getting us in but she is super patient with all of my crazy (anal) need for so many outfits & always seems to get the visions in my head of what I want the pictures to look like to come out exactly as I  envisioned them! Had a wonderful experience with Kristin LaRue of KL Photography! Several times!! Kristin photographed my daughter for her senior pictures…several sessions…they are all beautiful and unique. That was over a year ago and people are still commenting on them on facebook and sharing them on Pinterest! My family photos are fabulous. We have had Christmas pictures done 2 years in a row. Kristin made us feel comfortable and captured awesome moments! We plan to do some more this year as well. Thank you KL Photography!!
