Your Senior Year Deserves More Than Ordinary Pictures

Senior year is filled with lasts, firsts and everything in between. It marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of another—and it deserves to be documented in a way that feels completely personal. Your senior session can incorporate your style, favorite locations, sports, band, hobbies, vehicle, future plans and all the details that make this season uniquely yours.

Kristin LaRue Photography creates bold, artistic and personality-filled senior portraits in Paris, Texas, both at KLP Studio and at outdoor locations throughout Northeast Texas.

THE SENIOR PORTRAIT EXPERIENCE

Your senior session includes guidance from beginning to end.

I’ll help you plan:

* The session option that best fits your vision

* Studio and outdoor location choices

* Clothing, colors and wardrobe changes

* Professional posing and natural movement

* Sports, band, hobbies and extracurricular activities

* Meaningful props, vehicles or sentimental items

* Cap-and-gown portraits

* Images that celebrate both personality and accomplishment

You do not need to know how to pose or feel completely comfortable in front of the camera. That’s my job. I’ll guide you through posing, movement, hand placement and expression while making sure your portraits still feel natural and true to you.

STUDIO AND OUTDOOR SENIOR PORTRAITS

Studio Senior Portraits

Studio portraits offer complete control over lighting and create a polished, editorial look.

At KLP Studio, we can create everything from clean and classic portraits to bold, dramatic images with rich color, shadows and personality.

Studio sessions are also perfect for headshots, college announcements, cap-and-gown portraits and photographs that need to be completed regardless of the Texas weather.

Outdoor Senior Portraits

Outdoor senior sessions allow us to incorporate natural light, architecture, fields, downtown locations, school grounds and places that are meaningful to you. We’ll select locations that complement your clothing, interests and the overall look you want for your finished portraits.

Depending on the session you select, we may also be able to combine studio and outdoor photography for even more variety.

MAKE IT PERSONAL

Your senior portraits should tell people something about you before you ever say a word.

You may choose to include:

* Band instruments

* Sports uniforms and equipment

* Dance, cheer or school activities

* Livestock or agricultural interests

* Artwork, books or creative hobbies

* A car, truck or motorcycle

* College shirts, flags or acceptance letters

* Cap, gown, cords, medals or letter jackets

* A pet

* A meaningful family item

* Anything else that represents this chapter of your life

Props should help tell your story, not take it over. We’ll plan how to include meaningful details while keeping you as the focus of every photograph.

WHAT SHOULD YOU WEAR?

The best senior-session wardrobe combines outfits that feel like you with a little variety in color, texture and style.

Depending on your session, consider bringing:

* A dressy or polished outfit

* A casual everyday outfit

* A school, college or spirit shirt

* A sports uniform or band attire

* A jacket, hat or layered look

* Shoes and accessories for every outfit

* Your cap, gown, cords or graduation items

Avoid choosing every outfit in the same color or style. A combination of casual, dressy and meaningful clothing will give your final gallery more variety. Make sure everything is clean, wrinkle-free and comfortable enough for sitting, standing and moving.

We’ll discuss your wardrobe before the session so your clothing works well with your chosen locations and the overall style of your portraits.

SENIOR PICTURES AREN’T JUST FOR GIRLS

Senior portraits for guys don’t have to feel stiff, uncomfortable or overly posed.

We can build the session around sports, band, hunting, fishing, vehicles, livestock, a future career, college plans or whatever reflects his personality.

The goal is to create portraits that feel natural while still giving parents meaningful photographs to display and preserve.

PARENTS, THIS IS PART OF YOUR STORY TOO

You’ve spent years watching your child grow into the person standing in front of my camera.

Senior portraits celebrate their accomplishments and personality, but they also preserve this season for the parents who know exactly how quickly it arrived. We’ll create photographs your senior will feel proud to share and images you’ll want framed long after graduation day has passed.

One day, these photographs will become part of your family’s history.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When should we reserve a senior session?

Senior sessions may be photographed throughout the school year, but fall and spring dates fill quickly. Reserve early if you need a specific season, deadline or yearbook submission date.

Can seniors book a mini or full session?

Yes. Senior portraits can be booked as a mini or full session. The best option depends on how many outfits, locations and personalized elements you want to include.

Where are senior sessions photographed?

Sessions may take place at KLP Studio in Paris, Texas, at an outdoor location or through a combination of both when the selected session and schedule allow.

Can we use more than one location?

The number of locations depends on the session you select and the travel time between them. We’ll create a plan that uses your session time effectively.

How many outfits can I bring?

The number of outfit changes depends on your session length. We’ll plan your wardrobe beforehand so each outfit adds something different to your gallery.

Can I include sports, band or hobbies?

Absolutely. Instruments, uniforms, equipment, vehicles, livestock, creative interests and meaningful personal items can all be incorporated.

Can I bring my pet?

Yes, when the location and session allow. Please tell me about your pet before the session so we can plan for safety, handling and the time needed.

Can a parent or friend come with me?

Yes. A parent or trusted friend can help with clothing, hair, personal belongings and encouragement. Too many extra people can become distracting, so keeping your support crew small usually works best.

Do you photograph cap-and-gown portraits?

Yes. Cap-and-gown photographs can be included in a full senior session or booked separately as a focused mini session.

Do you provide posing guidance?

Yes. I’ll guide you through posing, movement, hand placement and expression throughout the session. You do not need modeling experience.

When will we receive our photographs?

Your expected turnaround time and gallery information will be provided with your session details. Please share any yearbook or announcement deadlines before booking.
